A few simple precautions keep your projects and Lovable account safe.
Important Notice — Read Carefully
Our extension is a community-built tool. It is NOT an official Lovable feature. Lovable may detect this behavior at any time in the future. When that happens, affected accounts could receive warnings, restrictions, or in worst cases suspension. We do NOT offer any guarantee that the extension will keep working. We will keep trying to improve it and make it more reliable — but what you get today is what you see.
Connect GitHub Auto-Sync
Always link your Lovable project to a GitHub repository. If anything happens to your account, all your code stays safe in your own repo.
Test on Throwaway Projects First
Try the extension on a small test project before using it on anything important. Get comfortable with how it behaves.
Avoid Critical Production Work
Don't rely on the extension for client deliverables, paid client work, or projects you cannot afford to lose.
Monitor Your Account Regularly
Check your Lovable billing, credits, and email notifications frequently. React fast if anything looks unusual.
Keep Local Backups
In addition to GitHub, download important project ZIPs from Lovable regularly. Redundancy is cheap; recovery is expensive.
